Subject:
pool pump
I have a Century Centurion pool pump that runs and pumps fine but sounds like the bearing is going out. Can I buy and replace these bearings myself? Are online repair manuals available? Is it better just to buy a new pump?

Yes you can replace the motor bearings, there are 2, in the front and at the rear of the motor, if the motor is around 5-8years old, I would suggest replacing the motor as oppose to replacing the bearings. You will need a bearing puller and a bearing tamp tool to re-install the new bearings.
